Apple has just completed its fall market launch with the M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max processors for its iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro product lines, but now it’s already looking to the future again – what’s coming in spring 2025?
The fourth generation of the iPhone SE is scheduled to arrive in spring 2025 and will no longer have a home button. It is said to be visually similar to the iPhone 14 and include the first 5G modem developed by Apple. With this, Apple wants to eliminate its dependence on Qualcomm.
In addition, a new entry-level model of the iPad is to be presented, with the most important innovation being Apple Intelligence. This requires a faster processor and more memory than before. Apple will probably install the A18 chip. Apparently there will also be a special keyboard for the iPad.
The MacBook Air series is expected to receive the M4 SoC. As with the other M4 MacBooks, Apple will also increase the base RAM on the Air to 16 GB so that Apple Intelligence works. Center stage camera technology is supposed to be installed, which always keeps the user in the center of the camera image.
There will also finally be the AirTag 2, which should be even easier to find using ultra-wideband technology.
What probably won’t appear in the spring is a new Mac Studio and a new Mac Pro. These devices will probably not appear with new processors until mid-2025.
