Apple is preparing a graphene cooling system on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max

Apple has already started working on the next generation iPhone and in addition to the aesthetic changes prepared that could also involve giving up the cutout in the screen, we will also have hardware changes. One of these will have to do with cooling, a chapter where the iPhone 15 Pro does not do so well, there are still cases of overheating, although we still received updates aimed at solving the problem.

Now we learn that a graphene heat sink is being prepared for the iPhone 16 Pro, a hardware solution that will help dissipate heat and at the same time cool the device. Apple is considering replacing the current copper heat sink on the iPhone 15 Pro with a graphene solution for the 2024 generation.

As a material, graphene offers superior thermal conductivity compared to the copper material, and that should translate into a notable upgrade for the next iPhone. Along with the new heat sink we will also have a metal battery holder to deliver better heat transfer and better cooling.

Also, a new capacitive button is being prepared for the future iPhone, plus a revolutionary camera that we wrote about here.
