New users who open the Apple Music app for the first time are usually offered a one-month free trial of the service. This trial period was originally three months, but Apple quietly reduced it in early 2022. However, starting in the fall of 2024 and running through September 23, anyone new to Apple’s music streaming service can get a three-month free trial. This offer is only available to new subscribers, so if you’ve never tried Apple Music before, now is a great time.
An interesting offer for new customers
Apple Music offers many advantages that some like Spotify do not. This is the case of Dolby Atmos (Spatial Audio) sound, but also lossless quality. In addition, in addition to the millions of songs, Apple Music offers a nice balance between editorial playlists and algorithmic suggestions. Not to mention the lyrics to sing at the top of your lungs.
To discover new music, Apple Music offers a “Discovery Station” that plays songs you’ve never heard before, including tracks from well-known artists and new ones that the algorithm thinks you’ll enjoy. Siri can even provide you with a curated mix of familiar favorites and new releases.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind: Apple Music is primarily designed for Apple devices, although it is also available on Android. The service does not include podcasts, and unlike other platforms, Apple Music does not offer a free version outside of this promotion.
How to take advantage of the offer?
- Update your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Open the Apple Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and sign in with your Apple ID. If the offer doesn’t appear immediately when you launch the app, you can find it in the Home tab.
- Follow the instructions on your screen to activate the offer.
The three-month offer runs from August 7 to September 23, 2024. Keep in mind that after the trial period, the subscription will automatically renew at €10.99 per month, so be sure to cancel if you don’t want to continue. Again, the offer is strictly for new subscribers: existing subscribers and those who accessed Apple Music through a family plan are not eligible.
