Apple is making big changes for radio stations Apple Music

Apple is going to change a number of things for its music service. Perhaps the biggest is that Beats 1 continues as Apple Music 1.

The battle between the different streaming services is optimally underway. For example, Spotify is fully committed to podcasts. Also Apple does not sit still. They are also now going to make some changes to lure the listener into their service.

New Radio Stations

The first change is that Apple is adding two new international live radio stations to Apple Music. Apple Music Hits will feature the greatest hits from the 80s, 90s and 00s. There are shows from the Backstreet Boys, Snoop Dogg and Shania Twain.

In addition, there will be a special channel for country music with the original name Apple Music Country. All kinds of country music should come together here. Think of names like Carrie Underwood and Jimmie Allen.

Beats 1 wordt Apple Music 1

One of the most popular radio stations on Apple’s music service is Beats 1. In addition to music, that channel also features various exclusive performances and in-depth interviews with the artists. Now the station is facing change. Apple will change the name of the channel: Beats 1 will continue under the name Apple Music 1.

On Apple Music 1 will be broadcast radio programs from Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and London. Different artists will also put together their own program. There will also be programs that are completely focused on Latin music. So J Balvin gets a new show of his own. There will also be a special program with musicians from Africa under the name Africa Now Radio. The new channel therefore seems to be getting wider.

In addition to all radio stations, you can of course also choose your own music on Apple Music. In total, the streaming service offers more than 60 million songs and thousands of playlists. The radio stations can be heard on all devices where you can already listen to the streaming service. You do need a subscription to the music streaming service for this Apple to have.
