Apple is allegedly testing iPhone and iPad prototypes with macOS under Apple Silicon Arm processors

According to information from MauriQHD, youtuber and self-proclaimed “leaker”, Apple is working on new prototypes of iPhone and iPad that would have macOS operating system and in addition, they would integrate one of the new Arm processors from Apple Silicon.

What would be the importance of this? Well, we would be facing a radical change in the way Apple distributes its devices, since for the first time its iOS mobile devices would be able to run its macOS desktop operating system, so connect to a monitor and transform into a computer.

The first benchmarks of the first Mac with an Apple Apple Silicon processor appear and the results are impressive

It would be a very important change in the history of Apple

A year ago, with the launch of Catalyst, Apple was said to be opening the possibility for iOS and macOS to integrate. Apple has always said no, that they are two different platforms. However, now that Macs will be able to use the same processor as iPhone or iPad, the possibility is more latent than ever.

As MauriQHD explains, Apple is ready and currently has two prototypes of iOS devices running macOS and with an Apple Silicon processor. He claims that both prototypes are ready, but they will only choose one. Before being announced, Apple is waiting for other projects to come to an end, but does not specify which ones.

MauriQHD also mentions that there is a 95% chance that these devices will see the light later, but in the end everything can change. The idea behind these iPhone or iPad with macOS is extremely interesting and attractive, since it speaks of a dual-boot hybrid device, which would allow having both operating systems for both a mobile and a desktop experience.

There is also talk that Apple would be developing a docking system, which would allow us to connect our iPhone to a monitor in a simple way. An idea similar to what Samsung tried with DeX or ‘Project Linda’ of the Razer Phone.

At the moment everything is moving in the field of rumors, but it would certainly be a good implementation that would give play to a lot of possibilities. Now we just need to wait for it to come true.
