JAKARTA (RIAUPOS.CO) – The unreleased Apple iPhone 15 has been the subject of much speculation recently. Apple’s next flagship iPhone offering is rumored to have potentially greater charging speeds than the previous model.
Most recently, there have been rumors that a major upgrade to Apple’s battery technology will see the iPhone 15 come with a stacked battery pack. The stacked approach is expected to extend battery life and unlock iPhone 15 charging to 40 Watts.

Currently, the iPhone 14 has a maximum charging speed of 30 Watts. Thus, if this latest leak is true and will come with a charging speed of up to 40 Watts, then this is a very big jump.
A tipster on Twitter, @RGcloudS says that the cable increase to 40 Watts for the iPhone 15 could translate to charging speeds of up to 20 Watts via MagSafe. However, there is no guarantee that the new technology will dock with the iPhone 15, as some speculation links the technology to the iPhone 16.

But it is clear that there are several other reasons to bring up the possibility of increasing the charging speed for the iPhone 15.

First, stacked battery packs would imply that Apple may have overcome the overheating challenges that exist in such a scenario. It should be noted that 40 Watt charging is still far from the gold standard in terms of charging speeds of up to 100 Watt which are currently widely available on Android devices.
The iPhone 15 itself is slated to be announced in September 2023. As the release date approaches, we expect more speculation about the iPhone 15. The model is expected to highlight the durability and performance Apple is renowned for.
