The next generation of iOS smartphones, the iPhone 13, will be presented by Apple next September. Meanwhile, with about three months of the respective presentation in Cupertino, there are more and more leaks of information referring to these Apple phones.
The new report comes to us from Max Weinbach, one of the most prolific sources of recent years with a good record of reliability. According to this, the iPhone 13 will have charging wireless (wireless) faster and possibly reverse.
The iPhone 13 generation arrives in September 2021
According to Max Weinbach the coil that mediates wireless charging will be considerably larger on the iPhone 13 compared to the current generation – iPhone 12. This will apply to all four models, from 13 mini to 13 Pro Max and can be clipped with two realities.
First, a larger (copper) coil would generate less heat – energy dissipated in the form of heat. This would also make the wireless charging process more efficient, wasting less energy in the form of heat, and could speed up the charging process. In other words, it would speed up loading wireless.
Second, a larger coil could also mediate reverse wireless charging. That is, the possibility of using the iPhone 13’s batteries to charge other equipment and gadgets such as AirPods, for example.
Wireless reverse charging can reach iPhone 13
Please note that this function – reverse wireless charging – has been available on Android smartphones for several years. It was one of the implementations promoted by Huawei, a pioneer manufacturer in making this possibility available on its Huawei Mates in 2018.
Finally, in addition to the two previously considered hypotheses, we can also place a third. Apple may want to beef up the magnets that make up the MagSafe system and as such may require more space in this central section of the phone.
In any case, the latest rumors have pointed to Apple’s biggest concern for the iPhone 13 – autonomy. This results not only in higher capacity batteries, but also in greater efficiency and energy management.
In fact, we point out batteries with higher nominal capacity beyond the Apple A15 chip at 5 nm with several optimizations. To this can then be added a faster wireless charging, as well as an improvement of the MagSafe system.
The new Apple iPhone 13 should be introduced in the first weeks of September with the arrival on the market between the end of this month and the beginning of October. In the meantime, we will have more leaks to keep us abreast of the next iPhone.
