“Apple iPad Gen 9 Review: Specs, Price, and Design”

RADARTASIK.ID – The Apple iPad Gen 9, also known as the iPad 10.2 (2021), is perhaps the Cupertino tablet that needs the least introduction.

Quoting from GSM Arena, technically, the Apple iPad has been the company’s flagship product since 2010. Long before there were mini, Air, or Pro versions, as can be seen from the strong 9th iteration tagging.

Currently, the “vanilla” iPad forms the basis of the iPad lineup because it is the cheapest option. Starting at $329 (around Rp.4.9 million) for the Wi-Fi only version and $459 (about Rp.6.8 million) for the LTE model.

The next step is the sleek new iPad mini 2021 (6th generation). With a starting price of $499 (around Rp. 7.4 million), it has generated a lot of excitement with its on-trend design, A15 Bionic chipset, and optional 5G connectivity, among other features.

Unfortunately, the regular iPad doesn’t have that advantage. Apple hasn’t redesigned the iPad since the 7th generation iPad 10.2 (2019).

Users basically get the same device for the third year in a row. Admittedly, there’s been a chipset update, a new selfie camera, and some display tweaks. However, its design language is starting to go out of style, with large bezels, curved corners, and a home button that is very different from what the iPad looks like today.

However, users might prefer to call this design a classic, which is fair enough in some ways.

Users can also take advantage of the lower launch price. Apple iPad Gen 9 might be an option for users who are less adept at technology.
