Apple launches its newest operating system iOS 17 on Monday (18/9). Unfortunately, not all iPhone will receive this system update.
The device that will definitely receive iOS 17 is the iPhone 15 series which was just launched last week. Apart from that, relatively young iPhones such as the iPhone 14 and iPhone SE 3rd generation are also confirmed to receive the iOS 17 update.

Referring to the list, several names such as the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus were not given the iOS 17 operating system update.
IOS 17 itself provides a number of new features for iPhone users, one of which is the Standby feature which gives users an informative screen display just by holding the iPhone sideways.
Then, iOS 17 also provides a feature called NameDrop which allows users to exchange contacts with other users just by bringing their respective devices closer together. This feature can be done with iPhone and Apple Watch.
Users can also use the SharePlay feature by bringing two iPhones closer to each other.
Apart from that, Siri is also getting an update that means users no longer need to say ‘hey’ to initiate commands. Then, the Live Voicemail feature will also present a live transcript on the screen when the voice message is recorded.
Apple is also providing better animations for its mental health features in iOS 17.
Apart from iOS 17, Apple will also launch the newest operating system for iPad devices, namely iPadOS 17. The following is a list of devices that will receive iPadOS 17:
