The update includes the Stolen Device Protection feature, which protects data on stolen phones, as it enables their owners to protect their personal and banking data from falling into the hands of thieves, by making identity confirmation via Face ID or Touch ID a main condition for access. The new feature prevents access to passwords saved in the iCloud Keychain service, the use of bank data stored in “Safari”, the closing of the Lost Mode feature, the application for an Apple Card for payments (Apple Card), deleting all the contents of the phone, and using the phone to adjust and configure New device.

The new update contains additional security measures, as the user must confirm his identity with his face or fingerprint, and then he needs to wait an hour and repeat the identity confirmation again.

New musical features

The new iOS 17.3 update brings new music features, namely Collaborative Playlists on the Apple Music service, which allows users to participate in adding and deleting music clips in playlists, in addition to the ability to control the order of the clips within them.

In addition, new features include the ability to allow music to be played while inside the car via the SharePlay feature, as users receive on their phones an invitation to participate in choosing the music clips that can be played during their trip, even if they are not subscribers to the “Apple Music” service. .

The new update includes the AirPlay Hotel Support feature, which allows users to broadcast content from their phones to smart screens in the rooms of a number of hotels, after Apple entered into a partnership with LG to provide this feature when it is available on its smart screens.

Users will be able to monitor the warranty status and validity on various devices logged in with the same Apple ID, through the AppleCare & Warranty tab within the phone settings.

Apple has modified the Crash Detection feature in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 with the new update, so that it is more accurate in monitoring the user’s exposure to any accidents, while not running the feature incorrectly in unintended situations, such as playing in… Amusement park.
