Apple released a new update called iOS 17.2 this week on iPhone and iPad, which introduces a brand new tool called Journal, which Apple describes as “a way to reflect on life’s moments and preserve your memories.” The release also includes hot bug fixes and security updates for the iPhone, as We monitor it for you, according to what the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported.
Journal tool
Journal is a brand new app where users can capture special moments and events in their lives and write about them.
Users can choose to upload written entries, as well as photos, videos, audio recordings or locations.
“We’re excited to bring the benefits of journaling to more people,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
“The Journal app makes it easy to preserve powerful memories, by intelligently organizing the user’s personal information, right from their iPhone,” Borchers added.
“We enable other everyday apps to provide the same personalized suggestions while maintaining the highest level of privacy,” Borchers explained.

It’s been one of the most talked-about new features of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and now the action button is getting an exciting update.
Users can now set the button to quickly translate phrases during a conversation with someone in another language.
Camera
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are also receiving an upgrade to the camera system.
“Spatial video lets you capture video on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max so you can relive your memories in 3D on Apple Vision Pro,” Apple explained.
She added, “The telephoto camera’s focus speed when shooting small and distant objects has been improved on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.”
Messages
The Messages app now features a follow arrow in the top-right corner, allowing you to quickly jump to the first unread message in a conversation.
Meanwhile, Apple’s cartoon Memoji feature has been updated, with the ability to modify body shape.

The Weather app now shows precipitation amounts, while new tools let you choose from next-hour precipitation, daily forecasts, sunrise and sunset times, and current conditions like air quality and wind speed.
The new interactive Moon Calendar also lets you know what phase of the Moon we are in on any day of the following month.
Improvements and bug fixes
The update also contains several improvements and bug fixes, as AirDrop has been improved, allowing you to share boarding passes, movie tickets, and other eligible cards by combining two iPhones together.
Autofill has also been improved, allowing you to fill in names and addresses from your contacts in PDF files and other forms.
While Apple doesn’t reveal specific bug fixes, it adds that iOS 17.2 fixes an issue that could prevent wireless charging in some vehicles.
