Apple iOS 15.2 is out, here’s what’s new for iPhones

Apple’s ‘inheritance’ period!


The new version of iOS, the operating system developed by Apple for iPhones, has been released. The iOS 15.2 software update, approximately 900 MB in size, has been released.

The innovations that come with iOS 15.2 released for iPhone 6S and above models, including features such as Application Privacy Report, Digital Heritage Program, and bug fixes are as follows:

Security:

The App Privacy Report in Settings lets you see how often apps have accessed your location, photos, camera, microphone, contacts and more in the last 7 days, as well as network activity for apps.

Apple ID:

Digital Heritage allows you to designate contacts as “Heirs” so that they can access your iCloud account and personal information in case you die.


Camera:

Macro photo control can be enabled in Settings to switch to the Ultra Wide lens for taking macro photos and videos on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

TV Application:

The Store tab lets you buy, rent or browse movies all in one place.

CarPlay:

Includes enhanced city maps for supported cities in Apple Maps, with road details such as turn lanes, center lines, bike lanes, and crosswalks.

IMPROVEMENTS WITH THE NEW VERSION


iOS 15.2 also brings the following improvements for iPhones:

– Unique, random email addresses can be created with Hide My Email, available in the Mail app for iCloud+ subscribers.

– Find can locate iPhone up to 5 hours later in power save mode

The stock market allows you to view the currency for the stock screen and see the year-to-date performance while viewing the charts.

– Reminders and Notes now let you delete or rename tags.

WHICH BUGS ARE FIXED?


The new iOS version released by Apple also includes the following bug fixes for iPhones:

– Siri unresponsive when VoiceOver is running and iPhone is locked

– ProRAW photos appear overexposed when viewed in third-party photo editing apps

– Unable to play HomeKit environments with garage doors from CarPlay when your iPhone is locked

– CarPlay unable to update Now Playing information for some apps

– Video streaming apps fail to load content on iPhone 13 models

– Calendar events appear on the wrong day for Microsoft Exchange users
