Apple Introduces Satellite Roadside Assistance Feature for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 Owners

Apple revealed the satellite roadside assistance feature during its launch event in September while unveiling the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The company explained that this feature is designed to help iPhone owners who are locked out of their car or have car problems such as running out of fuel or charging. , or tire puncture, in areas where cellular network coverage or Wi-Fi access is not available.

The company has partnered with the American Automobile Association (AAA) to provide assistance to iPhone owners in the United States, where customers do not need to have AAA membership and pricing information will be detailed on the smartphone before AAA dispatches roadside assistance, according to a posted Apple support page. For the satellite roadside assistance service to work

1- Apple says you need to be outside and have a clear view of the sky and horizon, similar to the emergency SOS feature via satellite that was introduced last year with the iPhone 14 series smartphones.

2- Press the New Message button and type “Roadside” in the address field to see the Roadside Assistance option appear when you don’t have cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.

3- By following the on-screen instructions and providing the required details, you can request assistance using the satellite roadside assistance feature.

Right now, the feature only works in the US (excluding the US Virgin Islands), but Apple states that international travelers in the US can also use the feature while in the country.
