Apple Introduces Battery Cycle Count Feature for iPhone 15 Models

Apple has made it possible to check the number of completed battery cycles on all models iPhone 15which is a measure to determine the battery status of your device.

Previously, knowing the iPhone battery cycle count was not an option in Apple’s mobile operating system, and curious users had to resort to unofficial methods via third-party apps.

Although it has been possible to ascertain iPhone battery health for several years through the “Maximum Capacity” percentage (Settings -> Battery -> Battery Health & Charging), the charge count is a valuable additional metric for determining battery health.

One charging cycle is complete when you use (discharge) an amount equal to 100% of Battery capacitybut not necessarily all from one charge. For example, you can use 75% of your battery capacity in one day, and then fully recharge it overnight. If you use 25% the next day, a total of 100% will be discharged. It may take several days to complete the cycle, and the capacity of any type of battery will decrease after a certain period of recharging, with lithium-ion batteries, the capacity decreases slightly with each complete charge cycle.

Check iPhone 15 battery cycle count

1- Open the Settings application.

2- Click on General -> About.

3- Scroll down to the “Battery” section and check the number next to the number of cycles.

You can also set a strict 80% battery charge limit on the iPhone 15, which can improve battery life by reducing the time the battery is fully charged.
