Apple announced the adoption of a new cooling system made of graphene carbon for the iPhone 16 phones next year.
The company stated in a statement today that the new iPhone 15 Pro phones suffered from the problem of overheating shortly after their launch, noting that the graphene system would help dissipate heat efficiently, which would allow the iPhone phones to work optimally without generating heat. Excessive heat, or having to reduce processor performance.
Graphene has a higher thermal conductivity than the copper currently used in iPhone heatsinks.
Apple had admitted that there was an overheating problem in the iPhone 15 Pro phones, but it blamed external applications for causing it, and issued a system update to address it.
Previous reports indicated that Apple may rely on “vapor chamber cooling” technology in iPhones in the future, but this has not been achieved yet.
