Are you angry that your new iPhone does not have a headset or charger? Well get ready since it is possible that Apple will go a step further and, with the launch of the new iPhone 13, do not even put the charger in the box of the future smartphone.
Of course, there is no confirmation that this is so, but as the Spanish proverb says, “when the river sounds …”. It all stems from the fact that, since this year, the iPhone no longer comes with headphones or charger. This is the case not only with the new iPhone 12 but with all the phones that you can buy right now in the company’s store.
With this background, a survey launched by Apple to its customers takes on a different meaning, since it seems that the brand would be “testing” its fans to remove the last accessory that today we can find in the phone case, the cable USB-C-a-Lightning.
Apple “gropes” its fans
According 9to5Mac, Apple is launching a survey of iPhone 12 owners, probably to prepare them for the changes that lie ahead next year. One of the questions asked of phone owners is which of the items included with the iPhone are actually used by consumers. The current line ships with a SIM eject tool, Apple stickers, and the aforementioned USB cable.
This would not have to mean anything special if it were not because, earlier this year, the Cupertino giant had also conducted a similar survey among its customers asking how they used their chargers. As we all know, the brand ended up eliminating the power adapters from the iPhone box since, according to Apple, there are already many chargers and headphones and they do not want to collaborate in the generation of electronic waste.
Goodbye to Face ID?
Another question has to do with the security system of the latest iPhone. The brand asks if users are satisfied with Face ID for reasons such as security or privacy issues, slow performance, failures in face detection in some situations (such as low light, different angles, lying down, wearing sunglasses) and, what more importantly, if you prefer to use the Touch ID of the older models.
This would give truth to all those rumors that suggest that the fingerprint reader would return with the iPhone 13, which could be relocated under the screen of the manufacturer’s new phones.
