The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have been for sale since last Friday and more and more people can get started with the new smartphones. But one of these people noticed something that the others probably hadn’t thought about.
On Reddit it is announced that Apple has hidden an iPod in the box of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
Apple puts iPod in iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro box
Obviously, you don’t have to disassemble your iPhone 12 packaging like an idiot to search for an actual iPod. But it seems Apple is referring to the popular and iconic music player with a wink. By removing the adapter and earphones from the iPhone 12 from the box, the Cupertino company has had the opportunity to rearrange the packaging.
The compartment of the Lightning-USB-C cable is in a circle, which should represent the control panel of the iPod. The paperwork and sticker are then placed in a square, which represents the screen of the music player. It may be far-fetched from Reddit user Kahnartist81, but I must honestly say that I find the reference amusing.
Did anyone else see that the empty iPhone 12 Pro box is ???? a throwback to an iPod with click wheel? Just me? from r/iphone
Missing charger
The fact that the box can be rearranged is mainly due to the fact that Apple has chosen to leave the adapter out of the packaging of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro. Something that competitors laugh at the company for on the one hand, but also seem to follow suit on the other. As with the disappearance of the 3.5mm headphone jack, Apple seems to be leading the way in this area. A development that may be seen as negative by many users.
The competitor who openly laughed at Apple, but seems to be working on the same plans is Samsung. Want to know more about that story? Then be sure to read this article!
