Clearly, nothing stops Apple! And even less a gigantic global pandemic. According to IDC, the Apple brand signed a sales record this year, selling no less than 7.3 million Macs in the last quarter. This is unheard of for the Cupertino company, which has just marketed its overpowering Macbook M1.
8% market share
These record sales correspond to growth of 49.2% over one year, which is enormous. The Apple brand is also the manufacturer that sees its sales increase the fastest, since Acer, its main competitor, is just behind with + 48%. Apple still has an 8% market share, behind Dell Technologies, HP and Lenovo.
Over the whole of 2020, the Californian firm would have sold no less than 23.1 million Macs, which is once again unheard of. The brand can therefore count on growth of + 29.1%. The new Mac M1 will definitely have succeeded in boosting these figures. We will wait for a nice confirmation of all this with the next publication of quarterly results on January 30. In any case, Apple is the big winner in this difficult year marked by the Covid. And you, are you going to get a new Macbook?
