Some customers who placed a custom MacBook Pro 16 order and were first promised delivery today, woke up to a real cold shower from Apple.

The company has in fact explained to some of them, it is unknown how many, that their order does not arrive until December. There is no explanation from Apple why customers have to wait all of November and potentially well into December. Apple should at least have explained why, and also included a gift card, perhaps?
Most 16-inch orders are affected
Most problems with this are experienced by those who have ordered the 64GB 16 model, but there are also reports that certain 14-inch models are not delivered until the first promised date.
One of the 14 orders was changed from October 26 to December 3 to 10. No such problems have been reported with basic configurations of any of the models, only those orders where customers have changed the entrails.
We got our machine today, but then we also ordered the 14 grunn basic model. Have you experienced being promised delivery today, only to end up not getting it until December?
