Earlier this month it was reported that Apple could introduce new iMac computers and iPad tablets in October. October is coming to an end, and among the new products, only a cheaper Apple Pencil stylus with a USB Type-C interface has been announced. However, Apple may still announce a new iMac, which is expected to happen on October 30th.

This point of view is shared by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. If this is indeed the case, Apple is preparing to unveil a new iMac for the first time since the iMac with Apple’s signature M1 processor was announced in early 2021. Although Gurman did not specify which processor should be the basis of the company’s new computer, it is obvious that we are talking about the Apple M3 chip.

The journalist’s report, citing an informed source, said that “Apple plans to release a new Mac-focused product at the end of the month”. He also indicates that Apple’s next financial report will be presented in November. According to him, the last time the company postponed the discussion of quarterly financial results, the Mac and iPad were announced.

In addition to this, Gurman believes that the updated 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops could be introduced in 2024, since they were last updated in January of this year. At the same time, more than a year has passed since the last update of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and for the iMac this value is approaching three years. The journalist does not expect significant changes in future MacBook Pro laptops, with the exception of processors and possibly “minor display improvements”. He believes that more significant changes will be implemented in the iMac Pro, which will be released in 2025, as well as the MacBook Pro in 2026, when they will have OLED displays.
