While we only recently reported that Apple wants to expand further in Europe, the next expansion in the USA is now pending. Real estate company Colliers revealed that Apple plans to expand its presence in Beaverton, Oregon by renting around 4,600 square feet of office space.

As the Portland Business Journal reports, real estate firm Colliers mentions Apple’s new office contract in a quarterly market report for the greater Portland area. Colliers placed the property in 3555 SW 153rd, an inconspicuous office building just outside the center of Beaverton. Associated marketing materials put the property at the equivalent of 4,634 square feet, the location previously serving as the headquarters for First Tech Federal Credit Union, the report said.

Apple is slowly expanding its presence in Oregon. In 2018, the company opened a hardware engineering lab near the Beaverton-Hillsboro border. Job postings at the time indicated that part of the facility was responsible for device verification testing. Last year it was reported that the tech giant rented space in the 7 Southeast Stark Building, a new development in Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District.

Apple is constantly looking for new growth opportunities in the US and beyond. In addition to the data centers, the company is expanding its operations in the United States and announced a major domestic initiative in 2018, culminating in a $ 1 billion campus in Austin, Texas. Another billion dollar campus currently under construction in North Carolina will be Apple’s first major corporate facility on the East Coast.
