One of them was Greg Joswiak, who is the current head of marketing at Apple. Almost halfway through the short film, he made strong statements about his relationship with Samsung in the early years.
“They were annoying because as you know, they copied our technology. They took the innovations we created and created a poor copy and just put a bigger screen around it.”, Joswiak said.
These statements refer to the launch of the Galaxy S4 in 2013, which integrated a 5-inch screen. The following year, Apple decided to increase its panels from 4 to 5.5 inches.
“Apple started the smartphone revolution with the iPhone and it’s a fact that Samsung shamelessly copied our design. It’s important that we continue to protect the hard work and innovation of so many people at Apple.”
THE BEGINNING OF SMARTPHONES
Without a doubt, Apple started the era of smartphones with the iPhone. Then came Nokia, BlackBerry, Samsung and other manufacturers, who had already integrated large screens previously.
