This time, the novelties will be based around the SoC units of the M4 series, but not only the basic M4 presented before, but also the M4 Pro and M4 Max models can play a part which offers higher performance. The M4 Pro and M4 Max are expected to arrive next week MacBook Pro notebooks, they are available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, as well as upgrades iMac we can also expect an appearance, which can now be built around the M4 SoC. Apple’s small desktop computer, the Mac Mini also gets some improvement, and as a result the appearance changes: USB-A ports can be replaced by USB-C connectors, and the external design can also change a little. At the same time, the M4 and M4 Pro series SoC units appear inside, which provides significant acceleration.
The M4 SoC was previously introduced on board the iPad Pro equipped with an OLED display, where it was able to show very good CPU and GPU performance despite the passive cooling. With active cooling, we can expect even better performance, based on the leaks so far, the SoC on board the 14-inch MacBook Pro based on M4 outperforms the Intel series mobile processor Core Ultra 288V Lunar Lake in the Cinebench 2024 test on one thread up to 40%, and on multiple threads it can be up to 60% faster, which is a military fact, if it turns out to be true .
Regarding the new products, it is expected that there will be some changes in the basic memory capacity, i.e. finally the entry memory option will not be 8 GB, but 16 GB, which unfortunately could increase the price to show Prices have not been mentioned yet, but they may be announced soon, in the middle of next week at the latest.
