Suara.com – Number of employees Apple threatened to leave because they had difficulty getting permits to work remotely or remotely, after the company implemented hybrid work in September.
Previously, Apple announced that they would do a hybrid work system. With this, employees have to work in the office three days a week.
Before implementing work from home (WFH) during the pandemic, Apple banned its employees from working remotely.
However, there are exceptions and some teams apply more lenient rules about the policy.

Now, Apple employees admitted that the exception had been rejected by the company.
In a Slack channel of 6,000 members, ten employees said they would resign due to hybrid work or knowing other employees had to quit.
An Apple employee said they were currently protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act, which allows them to work remotely.
However, he said this accommodation will be rejected once hybrid work is implemented.
“I will be out of work in September,” they wrote on Slack The Verge, Sunday (18/7/2021).

Some employees say that the company will allow remote work if they have medical records.
However, Apple will ask for the medical records so that it makes employees feel uncomfortable.
This is not the first time Apple employees have protested the company’s policies.
Earlier in June, employees wrote to Apple CEO Tim Cook requesting that this policy be re-evaluated.
