Apple lost more than 3% in New York in premarket trading on Wednesday. According to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, the Apple brand is abandoning plans to ramp up production of its new iPhones this year due to sluggish demand for its devices.
The Cupertino group would have asked its suppliers to reduce efforts to increase the assembly of its new iPhone 14 up to 6 million additional units during the second half of this year, reports the agency ‘financial information. The production target would thus be globally reduced to the initial estimates of 90 million in the period.
