Apple Discontinues iMac Pro

Apple reportedly will no longer be producing iMac Pro, the unit that once held the title of the company’s strongest computer. Currently, sales of the iMac Pro are only a matter of waiting for the unit stock in the warehouse to be sold out.

Consumers can purchase an iMac Pro available on Apple’s website while supplies last. Gizmodo who got information from MacRumors explained that the iMac currently sold is only the standard variant priced at US $ 4,999 or around Rp.71.5 million (Rp.14,308 exchange rate) after Apple removed the other variants.

Launch CNN, Apple released the iMac Pro in 2017. This device, which features advanced graphics and 3D rendering for creative creators and professionals alike, is claimed to be ‘the most powerful Mac ever’.

In August, Apple launched the 27-inch iMac, which is likely the last model to use an Intel chip. While the iMac Pro hasn’t gotten any major updates in recent years.

Apple said the current iMac can meet the needs of professionals. However, those who want more advanced capabilities can choose Mac Pro, which has more capabilities than the iMac Pro.

Apple is known to be preparing to release a new iMac this year to replace the 21.5-inch and 27-inch models. This latest iMac reportedly uses an Apple Silicon chip.
