Apple didn’t lie – the batteries in the iPhone 13 really last a lot

How much does the iPhone 13 last on a single charge? Answer: surprisingly long.

If you’ve watched Apple conferences, you probably know that all the changes in the iPhone 13 can be summarized somewhere around 3 sentences. Smaller notch, 120 Hz in the pro model and larger batteries. I would like to dwell a bit on the latter, because Apple, in a classic style, did not provide specific data on the capacity of new cells, but gave the assurance that the 13 series iPhones are to be 1.5 to 2.5 hours of work on a single charge. As is always the case with such assurances – they must be approached with a great deal of skepticism. Working time on one link has never been the strong point of Apple phones. This year, however, can be talked about a breakthrough.

How long does the battery in the iPhone 13 last?

People interested in technology will certainly know youtuber Mrwhosetheboss, who has been looking at new products in the world of smartphones and gadgets for years. Recently, it shed a little more light on how many new iPhones really work on a single charge. In his test, he compared the working time of the iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 12, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE. And I must admit that the results surprised even me.

As it turned out – Apple really worked well with the batteries. In his test, Mrwhosetheboss showed that the entire “13” line works on a single charge longer than the SE (which is obvious), but also – than 12 and 11. And I would like to remind you that this includes the iPhone 13 mini, and remember that the time battery life was one of the main problems of its predecessor. However, the most impressive in this test were the iPhones 13 Pro and 30 Pro Max, which reached 8h 17 min and almost 10 h SoT, respectively, not only breaking much better than its dimensions would indicate, but also sweeping the floor with competitors with much larger batteries. Let me remind you that we are talking about a device that has, by today’s standards, just over 4,300mAh.

So it turns out that Apple did not exaggerate at all, talking about up to 2.5 hours better battery life in the case of the new series. As I mentioned, the capacity of the cells was a big problem for iPhones. It turns out that these times are over.
