Apple has issued 3 updates so far for its iOS 17 operating system, as it has had some problems following its launch. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his weekly Power On newsletter, Apple is developing a system that will allow it to update iPhones in Apple stores without the need for… An employee manually opens each box and updates each phone, according to the phonearena website.
The technology involves using a special panel on which iPhone boxes are placed. The panel will wirelessly turn on iPhone units stacked on top of it, update iOS, and turn off phones, all without disturbing the packaging.
This isn’t a fancy plan, as Apple plans to start shipping panels to Apple Stores before the end of the year, but it’s not clear whether Apple will eventually allow the technology to be used by its carrier partners to refresh iPhone inventory in those stores.
If you’ve purchased an iPhone for the first time, you can update your phone by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update. It will be interesting to see if Android phone manufacturers come up with a similar technology that allows Android device buyers Run the latest version of Android On a new phone without having to worry about checking for the latest update.
