Apple could officially announce the M2 chip this week along with the iPhone SE 5G | Technology

According to leaks by the reliable Mark Gurman, Apple has already been working and testing Apple M2 devices and internal sources have confirmed specifications and official announcement date.

This week we have an Apple event where it is expected to see the new version of the iPhone SEthe cheap Apple, and we could also have news about the rumored new Apple M2 chip.

According confirmed Mark Gurman on Bloomberg, it seems that the company has the chip ready and I could present it at the next event on March 8which will record the products that will arrive throughout the year.

The latest beta of MacOS 12.3 already confirmed the existence of a chip that matches the specifications of the M2 rumored and does not match any of the existing ones of the entire M1 family.

In Gurman’s words:

A source in the developer world tells me that Apple has been testing multiple Macs with a new chip in recent weeks that includes an 8-core CPU (four efficiency cores and four performance cores) and 10 GPU cores. Those are exactly the specifications of the M2 chip that I detailed last year.

Apple has been testing this new chip on machines running macOS 12.3 (which should be released in the next week or two and run on new Macs) and a future macOS 12.4, as well as macOS 13, which will be unveiled in June at WWDC 2022.

as we see the chip is already being tested and therefore we will see the second generation of the ARM chip that has revolutionized the market with low consumption and very high performance.

That appearance in the software also took place with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips before their launch, so this information points ways.

The ‌M2‌ chip will be the first architectural update since the M1 iterations released in November 2020 and the more recent M1 Pro and M1 Max released with the new MacBook Pros.

This chip will not replace these latest chips but will be an improved version that will see the light in the basic MacBook Pro and Air. The new generation of Mac mini and should use the more powerful M1 Pro and M1 Max.

The “Peek Performance” event will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time and from Computerhoy.com we will tell you about it live. We will see the arrival of a iPhone SE 4.7″ with 5G connectivity and a renewed chip, which will be placed as the most economical of the entire iPhone range.
