Apple will try to attract users who allocate a lower budget for smartphones with a very large screen model, after the company would have definitively stopped the production of the iPhone 12 mini smartphone
Renowned Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is convinced that Apple will have a large-screen phone in its portfolio and a lower price than the large-screen devices it currently sells. That, however, from 2022, informs News.ro.
If the information materializes, it will be a change of strategy from the American company, which, so far, has only sold very expensive large-screen phones.
The next big-screen iPhone that Apple will sell cheaper will have a 6.7-inch screen – a size that, for iPhones, is only available on the most expensive models, the Pro series.
If the Pro series iPhones now start at $ 1,100, the model the Chinese analyst is talking about would cost no more than $ 900 – at least that’s the target set by Apple.
There will, of course, be a number of trade-offs. Most likely, the cheaper iPhone with a 6.7-inch screen will lack certain features, such as those on the photo side, which will be found only on Pro models.
2022 will also be the first year in which Apple will equip its smartphones with fingerprint readers mounted under the screen. These could exist in parallel with Face ID and provide the user with an alternative and an additional measure of security.
