Are you convinced by the functionality and scalability of CarPlay, but your car is not equipped? Here are the solutions available to you.
The most common way to achieve CarPlay compatibility is going to be to purchase a vehicle equipped, which currently represents a good chunk of the new car, motorcycle and truck market (of the latter two it’s more limited), even if Apple’s interface is sometimes a paid option and some brands, like BMW, at one time tried to charge a subscription. Apart from Tesla at the top of the range and Lada in another area, all brands (or almost) offer CarPlay.
The second solution will be to find a model suitable for your vehicle: with a little luck, you will find a mechanic who will replace the native system with the CarPlay compatible version. It is a solution which seems effective but which poses several problems. First, the CarPlay variant must exist and be purchasable (which is not necessarily the case). Then, above all, the cost is likely to be high: official spare parts are not known to be the cheapest.
