Apple reported on Monday the closure of all its retail stores in New York, in response to an increase in coronavirus cases and the rapid spread of the omicron variant in the country, according to Reuters.
At the moment it is not clear how long the closure will last. However, a company spokesperson reported that its customers will be able to collect their orders made online at physical branches.
It is not the first time that Apple has made that decision. At the beginning of the month, it temporarily closed three subsidiaries in the US and Canada due to the risk of its employees due to the spread of the virus.
