Gartner research director Masatsune Yamaji said there are two main factors affecting the purchase of top OEM semiconductors in 2020, namely the COVID-19 pandemic, and the political conflict between the US and China.
“The pandemic is weakening demand for 5G smartphones and disrupting vehicle production, but driving demand for mobile PCs and video games, as well as investment in cloud data centers until 2020,” said Yamaji, quoted by Phone Arena, Thursday (11/2/2021).
