According to Bloomberg, not all games would have had the same success on the platform and Apple would have trouble keeping its customers. The company would have decided to change its tune by favoring games with high engagement. Understand by this, the games to which subscribers will return most often.
And paradoxically, it is not necessarily the biggest productions that meet this criterion since Apple would have cited match-3 “Grindstone” as an example, a kind of Bejeweld of modern times.
As a result, several projects would have been canceled. Apple could thus offer fewer new features, but more games that will keep players in its nets.
Apple does not disclose the numbers of subscribers to its service, impossible to know precisely the performance of its platform. Information reported by Bloomberg, however, tends to confirm that the company’s plans have been turned upside down.
