Apple has approved a revision of its chargeur MagSafe for iPhone and AirPods, as indicated in the FCC registers. The file was submitted to the Federal Communications Commission in early July and the accessory tested in August. The photos of the product passed through its labs are for the moment covered by the seal of confidentiality but the test reports do not show any changes at this stage.
The FCC has tested the support with iPhones (with and without silicone cases) as well as an AirPods case. The only palpable information is the fact that the current iPhones are considered “legacy”, namely the old range, while four others that have been tested have not been identified. This is the range to come in the coming weeks.
The product also has a new identifier visible on the connection cable diagram (A2548 instead of A2140). Apple may have subtly improved some internal features of this magnetic charger
On the other hand, there is no trace of a test of the same nature for the double MagSafe foldable magazine, which contains the same type of magazine as the one evaluated here.
