Apple has reached an agreement with manufacturer Koss regarding the use of patents associated with AirPods. Remember that the case began to be analyzed in July 2020, when Koss accused Apple of using several company patents on AirPods.
according to the case, the patents concern systems that had been created in 2000, and therefore long before AirPods were released on the market. The patent describes a system capable of transmitting audio from a source, through a dedicated wireless network, like what the company claimed to happen with Apple’s AirPods – and even some models of the Beats line.
Apple has denied using patents incorrectly, having even filed a lawsuit against Koss for disclosing data considered secret between the two parties’ agreement.
Now the case finally comes to an end, with both parties having come to an agreement. Apple’s statement does not mention many details about the terms of the agreement, but clarifies that it will be enough to end all disputes between the two parties.
