Suara.com – Apple just introduced the AirTag tracker last month. This tracker functions to find items that are linked to AirTag.
However, Apple has actually presented AirTag in 2019. This was revealed through a video from the YouTube channel ZONEofTech, where two creators displayed a box of devices written in 2020 and 2019.
According to the Phone Arena report, Sunday (2/5/2021), Apple AirTag has been in development since April 2019. Then the device was tested by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in July and November 2019.
With these findings, the Apple AirTag is ready to launch in late 2019 along with the iPhone 11. In fact, Apple has chosen to postpone the launch until April 2021.

There are several theories that state why Apple has delayed the launch of the device. First, the tracker wouldn’t work because some iPhones didn’t have the U1 chip at the time.
The U1 chip is intended as an ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to find other U1-equipped devices such as the AirTag. Then since the arrival of the iPhone 12, only AirTag can be used because there is already UWB technology.
Another possibility, it could be that Apple does not want to be hit by an anti-competitive case. Previously, Apple introduced a tracking app, Find My Apple, which can help locate lost devices.
Apple then opened up the network to third-party companies before introducing AirTag devices. If it is still presented in 2019, then Apple will be accused of being an anti-competitive company.
