Apple’s own wireless noise-canceling headphones AirPods Max, which has only heard the sound of stairs, finally made its debut tonight! As the name mentions, this headset belongs to the AirPods series, so it is not surprising that it is equipped with the H1 chip, so that it has smart functions such as Siri activation, audio sharing, and automatic switching. But what everyone is most concerned about is the specification of the headset. Apple said that it uses a 40mm moving coil unit and a unique dual neodymium ring magnet motor. The latter can bring a total harmonic distortion rate of less than 1%.
The earphone design actually introduces the Apple Watch design concept. The knob design of the digital crown is brought to the earphone. It becomes the volume control knob and also has the function of play/pause; the long button next to it is the ANC button, one key Switch between noise reduction mode and transparent mode. Speaking of ANC, the 10 audio cores of its H1 chip can each perform 9 billion operations per second, bringing a more sophisticated noise reduction experience, and there will also be an adaptive EQ function, that is, it will analyze the softness of the earmuffs. The tightness of the pad adjusts the sound. At the same time, there will be spatial sound effects, bringing 5.1, 7.1 and Dolby Atmos loopback sound experience.
Apple mentioned that the part of their headband is made of stainless steel. Like the earmuffs, it is covered with a mesh surface. The earmuff cushions are made of acoustic engineering memory foam, which can bring a sealing effect. It is a combination of balance comfort and wearing feeling. In addition, AirPods Max will also have optical sensors and head-mounted detection functions. Putting on the headphones will automatically play music, remove or lift the unilateral earmuffs to pause the audio, and put them in the exclusive smart earphone sleeve. It will also enter an ultra-low power consumption state to help save power. In terms of battery life, the official said that there will be 20 hours of playback in ANC mode.
It should be noted that AirPods Max is priced up to HK$4,599 / NT$18,490 / RMB 4,399, and can only be equipped with iOS 14.3 or above, iPadOS 14.3 or above, macOS Big Sur 11.1 or above, watchOS 7.2 or above, or tvOS 14.3 or above Apple devices are not compatible with the sources used by general music enthusiasts.
