Apple is rumored to be updating its AirPods lineup later this year. Rumors about the upcoming AirPods 3 have been floating around for quite some time. Apple’s truly wireless headphones (TWS) were previously rumored to be released in May, which obviously didn’t happen. A couple of new reports now claim that the next wireless headphones for the iPhone will debut in the fall. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claim (is that the AirPods 3 will debut this fall. Gurman, who has kept a fairly accurate record, said that the new AirPods will be released at the iPhone launch event. Apple AirPods 3 launch timeline leaned
Apple could launch the AirPods 3 in September. A new report by Mark Gurman suggests that the AirPods 3 will be released at the iPhone launch event. Apple normally hosts its iPhone event in September. “Look for Apple to introduce its new low-end AirPods this fall, around the same time as the upcoming iPhones,” Gurman said in its Power On newsletter.
Previously, informant Dylan had also reclaimed that the next AirPods will be released in September. If rumors are to be believed, the iPhone 13 release date is September 14. Apple has not yet made an official confirmation on this. If true, we will likely see new Apple AirPods at the same event.
The details of the third generation AirPods have been leaked in the past. Apple is said to have taken a page from the AirPods Pro design for the budget AirPods. The third-generation headphones will feature a design similar to AirPods Pro. The new AirPods will have a smaller stem. The case will also get smaller and wider, similar to the Pro version.
Alleged images of the third-generation AirPods were leaked earlier this year. It will sport a semi-on-ear design. Some reports suggest that standard AirPods won’t come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Apple is expected to reserve the feature for its Pro headphones. Rather, a report from 52Audio claimed that Apple’s entry-level TWS will feature ANC.
