Apple Addresses iPhone 15 Overheating Issues with iOS 17 Update

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The iPhone 15 range, which Apple just launched some time ago, was complained about by users who found their phones too hot when used.

This hot condition reportedly occurred when using certain applications such as Instagram. Another reported issue is background processing after transfer and bug in iOS 17.

Last Thursday, Apple also released it update software for iOS 17, which addresses a number of these problems, as announced on its Support page, quoted Saturday (7/10/2023).

“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates, as well as and addresses an issue that could cause iPhone to become warmer than expected,” Apple wrote.

In the update details for patch Here, Apple lists two fixes aimed at iOS and iPadOS.

One is a kernel exploit for attackers with local access to the device that Apple says “may have been actively exploited against iOS versions prior to iOS 16.6.”

There is also a fix for bug libvpx, which according to CISA, allows someone to take over a device remotely, has also been patched recently in apps like Chrome and Firefox.

Previously, it was widely reported that the iPhone 15 experienced overheating or overheating by users. Regarding this problem, Apple has now revealed the possible reasons why this could happen.
