Apple very regularly confirms its position as market leader in new technologies even though its car is a little behind schedule. But today, Business Insider tells us the story of a man called Theodore A. Kim who sued the Cupertino company for a total of $ 1,381.13, the price of his iPhone 12. Because the man accuses the company of having damaged it and of not respecting its commitments: the smartphone was bought in Vietnam in October 2020 with a guarantee until October 2022. While the user returned to the United States during the pandemic, his iPhone 12 was having difficulty reading his US SIM card.
Theodore A. Kim then brought it to an Apple Store that reportedly returned it on the pretext that it had been trafficked. Without specifying how, the man would have noticed that the SIM tray was broken. A complaint was therefore lodged with Better Business Bureau (BBB). Apple’s response? The component was already damaged and would have been repaired if the accident had taken place under its responsibility. For the American giant, the case is closed.
