(ANSA) – CASORIA, 06 NOV – The funeral of Santo Romano, the 19-year-old with no criminal record killed in the night between Friday and Saturday in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, has just ended. Near them, Santo’s teammates from Micri, the football team for which he played as a goalkeeper, wearing the blue uniform. “Lord, paralyze the hands of those who sell guns so easily and at such a low price. Because this is a price that cannot be measured,” Francesco Beneduce, auxiliary bishop of Naples, said in the homily. Concelebrating were Don Tonino Palmese, Don Enzo Cozzolino, Father Maurizio Patriciello and Father Fedele Mattera. In a packed church, also the banners of the Campania Region, of the Municipality of San Sebastiano al Vesuvio (with the mayor Giuseppe Panico present) and of the city of Casoria (with the mayor Raffaele Bene).
