The guests’ Kamil Glik surprisingly hung up in an attack and ended up in a nod duel with the aforementioned Fernández – who handed out a hefty arm in the Pole’s face. The away team’s defenders grinned badly and a moment later the Andorra player was shown the red card.
After that, Andorra did not have much to bring and Poland took, via goal king Robert Lewandowski, the lead in the fifth minute. Kamil Józwiak extended six minutes later before Marc Vales Gonzalez had to reduce. The final score was 4-1 to Poland after two last hits by Arkadiusz Milik and 1-0 shooter Lewandowski.
Andorra’s chance to advance to the World Cup finals is gone as the team is in fifth place in the qualifying group with six points. Poland, on the other hand, is in second place with 20 points.
