After three years and eight complaints filed, the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) began this Thursday, the appearances of 30 mothers and fathers of girls, boys and adolescents with cancer from the “Movement for Health”, as confirmed attorney Andrea Rocha Ramírez.
“I want to mention that formally the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, has just started the stage of appearances, as you know, we have filed eight complaints.”
Said complaints filed with the FGR are derived from various crimes.
“One of them is for homicide, for the loss of little Iván, we also have the issue of genocide against Hugo López Gatell, among other officials.”
At the main entrance of the central offices of the FGR, the lawyer and spokesperson for the mothers and fathers of the family confirmed that in a second stage, Federal Government officials will also have to appear.
“On Monday that we were with the Prosecutor, he mentioned that in a second stage, once the popes conclude the appearances that correspond to them, in a second stage the officials come, who we have mentioned as responsible, in this case President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the Secretary of Health, the Director of the IMSS, the Director of INSABI and the Director of ISSSTE ”.
The lawyer stressed that the FGR showed a good disposition to attend to these cases and open the corresponding investigation folders, so it was urgent that the complaining relatives appear before the Federal Public Ministry.
“Today only two are coming and we are going to present a calendar to the FGR, so that the 28 parents from different states of the Republic can come.”
According to the defense attorney, the appearances will be face-to-face and mothers and fathers of girls and boys with cancer from the State of Mexico, Veracruz, Guerrero, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Coahuila and Chiapas, among others, will attend the Attorney General’s Office.
“The parents who have signed the complaints in a timely manner and as they were presented will come and there will be parents who are going to join because they continue to live the shortage of oncological drugs.”
Among the complainants for drug shortages, there are also complaints from people with diabetes and women diagnosed with breast and colon cancer.
“It is very unfortunate that the entire health sector system is collapsed in our country and it is not possible for parents to arrive and there is not even gauze, I believe that with the health of Mexican women, Mexicans, girls and boys. children do not play ”.
“Through these appearances we are going to demand that the President now formally show us the purchases for this year and next, we would hope that through these appearances now if they formally display all that the President already mentioned. that the medicines are going to arrive ”.
In an interview, Rocha Ramírez highlighted that in Colima President López Obrador admitted that there was a shortage, which makes it a public fact.
“(The President) admitted that there was a shortage and also the Secretary of Health, did so before the Chamber of Deputies, where he admitted that there was a shortage of medicines, the day they come to appear they will not be able to change the facts because it is already the domain of public scrutiny Furthermore, the verbatim statements are attached to our complaints ”.
The lawyer acknowledged that procedurally there is no deadline, however, she estimated three weeks for the parents’ appearances to conclude for the denounced officials to attend.
Andrea Rocha said that curiously the IMSS he lost the file of little Ivan, who died due to lack of medicine, but said that fortunately he has copies of it.
“Because the IMSS has mentioned in the same folder that it is not true and that the little one was given all his treatments in a timely manner, which is completely false, the mother is going to present all the tickets for the chemotherapies that she bought, same as They denied him basic studies that they did not do to the little one ”.
“For the Prosecutor’s Office there are no vacations so we are going to give it a timely procedure, so that the following appearances (of the Officials) come immediately.”
Finally, the young lawyer stressed that this day the “Movement for Health” presented a new complaint, which represents a total of nine complaints against the Federal Health Sector.
“Mrs. Hortensia, as such, was diagnosed with colon cancer, she experienced the transition from what was the Seguro Popular and INSABI, she suffered from a shortage of chemotherapy, which caused her health to deteriorate and today she is in phase terminal, which is not fair ”.
