Mason Greenwood was arrested again on Saturday morning. The football professional of the English record champions Manchester United allegedly violated his bail conditions.
He reports it, among other things, from BBC. The 21-year-old was arrested in January and there have been serious allegations of violence against him ever since.
He was released on bail after three days earlier this year and has not yet been officially charged. United had suspended the former England international after the allegations became known. He continues to receive his he salary.
The English newspaper The sun writes that Greenwood allegedly tried to contact his ex-girlfriend, the alleged victim of his assault, without permission.
Police confirm the arrest
A police spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester police are aware that a 21-year-old man was arrested on Saturday 15 October 2022, reportedly for breaching his bail conditions.” Greenwood’s name has not been confirmed.
Investigations against the attacker continue.
