Apolosign Pack Go: Portable Suitcase Display with Android 12 | Kickstarter Product Review

An interesting device has appeared on Kickstarter that wants to replace a projector, speaker and game console when traveling. Apolosign Pack Go it looks very inconspicuous at first glance. However, the gray case hides a 27″ display complete with a speaker and a battery that lasts up to six hours. The case runs the Android operating system, but it is also expected that you can use the display for mirroring the image from your smartphone or as a display panel for the Nintendo Switch.


Specifications of a portable display in a suitcase with Android 12

The 66.9 x 42 x 11.5 cm suitcase, which weighs 13 kg, hides a 27″ touch screen (registers up to 10 touches at once) with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a brightness of 450 nits. The suitcase has a small storage compartment part, but also four built-in speakers with a surround sound effect or a battery with a capacity of 6,800 mAh, which lasts up to six hours on a single charge. The case also includes four built-in microphones with noise reduction. The case also serves as a display stand, which you can you can position it as you want, either in portrait or landscape mode.

However, the display itself is not only intended for connecting external devices. The trunk runs the GMS-certified Android 12 operating system, i.e. full-fledged Android from an older date, but you can download the games, applications or videos you want to it. The device has 128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM and runs on an octa-core RK3588 processor (4 × Cortex-A55 + 4 × Cortex-A76).

By itself, but also as an external display

However, you don’t have to rely only on the integrated Android, because the device will also serve as a second display for projecting content. On the back, you will find an HDMI input (for a game console, a second computer display, etc.), USB-A 3.0 for a flash drive and USB tethering using a smartphone, a DP port for reverse charging, e.g. Nintendo Switch while playing, and a universal USB-C output. The device also supports Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 and wireless standards for image mirroring – AirPlay, Miracast, DLNA and Chromecast.

As part of the pre-sale, the Apolosign Pack Go costs $599, which is roughly CZK 13,400. This device, intended for garden parties or family caravan trips, will reach the first interested parties in February next year.
