Then they started doing separate freak shows. Especially NTV, I remember, sinned with this. And finally, it turned out that there are far fewer conventionally normal people than freaks in the media.
But this was only the beginning, because the media became the new power. In this matrix that we built, built and finally built, authority, influence began to bring not real skills, knowledge, talents, deeds, but likes and fashionable “hypes”.
How many chamomiles do you have? Are they under a thousand? Ah, go away, animal! That’s roughly how it goes. Andy Warhol promised that in the future everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame. No, 15 is too many; here is max one minute but how to get it?

But that was a long time ago, and now there is a strange man in power everywhere. It goes without saying that they welcome with their clothes and send with their minds. But will the opinion of Boris Johnson change after the meeting?
What about Zelensky? Or, for example, Scholz and Macron? Not to mention average politicians. They are all strange, too strange.
Ripe, oh ripe, the critics have come out of Roman Polanski’s latest film “Palace”. The old punk, who no longer has anything to lose (he is still in his 90s), very accurately captured the essence of the current elites – their weakness, strangeness, madness, debauchery.
Those who have power do not look like those who rule the countries, but those who shoot for a giant show, whose filming site has chosen our martyred planet. Yes, of course, they do not really rule, but still something depends on the presidents and prime ministers.
The cult of strangeness, the power of strangeness, emerges from the very zeitgeist where all true meanings and values are deconstructed. The upper classes have been destroyed and replaced with buffoons and simulants.
In such a world, seriousness seems something like a crime. Especially if she’s talking about really important things. After all, the “civilized world” is in a general crisis, and people, countries, and governments are aware of this.
They are all afraid – that’s why they hide their fear, their panic even behind stupid masks. Still, it’s easier than trying to solve growing problems. They usually resolve them with armed conflict.
More precisely, they do not solve them, but temporarily let them go – so, through the shedding of blood, they cured the insane from the horrors of the past and drunkenness in the present Billy Bones. The war goes on, and the show doesn’t stop. These are two sides of the same thing. The freak show roars and puffs, drawing the whole world into it. Or has it already withdrawn?
