Four people were killed and 19 were injured in accidents caused by bad weather in Istanbul, the city’s Welsh said.

The powerful hurricane toppled even the huge clock tower in Istanbul. According to the government’s Directorate for Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD), one of the dead was a foreigner. Three of the 19 wounded are in serious condition, BTA reported. Istanbul’s large municipality has reported hundreds of incidents in the city due to the hurricane wind. So far, it is known that the strong wind has torn down 33 roofs of buildings, uprooted 192 trees, removed a total of 52 traffic lights and road signs, dropped another 232 dangerous objects, caused damage to many cars.

Storms have spread to other parts of Turkey. The sea flooded the promenade and the roads close to the shore in Izmir, in the area of ​​Karshyaka. Due to the disaster, the movement of ships was stopped.
