APF Holdings (APF), which is currently undergoing an initial public offering (IPO), will have EGG as its trading symbol on the stock exchange when the shares are listed. The symbol was chosen to clearly inform investors about the company’s main activity – egg production. The APF IPO will close on Monday, October 30, and investors are invited to submit subscription warrants for the shares in their online banks by 12:00, so that the banks can process them in time.
“The new symbol, EGG, is a departure from common stock market practice of trading symbols typically using the letters of a company’s name, but APF’s approach has several precedents on foreign exchanges. Through our approach, we want to make it clear that our company creates practical value and that by investing in our shares, investors are taking ownership of a strong food company. Maybe our approach has created a new tradition in the asset market,” Yuris Adamovič, APF Holdings chairman of the board.
