Apex Legends Season 17: Arsenal Patch Notes and Gameplay Updates

Apex Legends Season 17 Arsenal is now live, and Respawn Entertainment has released patch notes detailing all the new updates and changes. One of the most notable changes is the revamped ping wheel, which now includes additional options such as “avoid this area”, “enemy heard here”, and “we should regroup here.” The ping wheel also allows players to accurately ping in-game objects with map icons, including respawn beacons, replicators, and wildlife areas. The placement of generic waypoints is also more accurate in the map’s 3D landscape.

In terms of weapons, the RE-45 has returned to the floor loot pool, while the L-STAR takes its place as a care package weapon. The Sentinel and Alternator are now available in the replicators, while the EVA-8 and 30-30 repeater will replace them. The gold weapon rotation for this season consists of the Flatline, Mastiff, Spitfire, Triple Take, and Volt. Other changes to note include the L-STAR losing its barrel mod and gaining the Disruptor Rounds hop-up, while the 30-30 Repeater’s projectile size has increased.

Legends have also received some changing in Season 17, with Mirage now being reclassified as a Support-class legend. Meanwhile, Ash’s tactical Arc Snare ability slows her to armed-sprinting speed when aiming. Weapon supply bins for Assault-class legends now consider the needs of all squad members, not just their own, while Support-class legends guarantee at least one shield battery in secret compartments. Any player on a squad with a Support-class legend can now craft Banner Cards at replicators, while Care Packages automatically ping for the whole team.

There are also various bug fixes and balance updates, with Respawn adding an additional XP bonus for last weapon knife kills in Gun Run mode and displaying a message in the kill feed if Leaver Penalties are disabled due to an unfair match. Additionally, the Prowler can no longer be ADSed while crouching, and various lobby ultrawide UI improvements have also been made.

Overall, Apex Legends Season 17 Arsenal brings a host of changes, including an improved ping system, revamped weapons, and changes to the legends themselves. With these updates, players can expect a fresh and exciting experience from the popular Battle Royale game.
